Challenge:

Less than half a day before a client’s welcome reception, the hotel notified us that the town was cutting the power for repairs, including the hotel’s back-up generators. It would affect lighting and the hotel elevators. The hotel evacuated guest rooms and alerted attendees upon check-in. With no electricity, our client’s evening reception had to be quickly moved to another venue.

Solution:

Together, Infinity and hotel staff explored other venue options. Located in close proximity to the hotel, we found an art gallery that was originally closed for the night. The hotel kitchen staff transported the food and beverages for us. Suddenly snow began to fall, making it unsafe for guests to walk to the event. We quickly arranged shuttle buses and transported the group to and from the gallery.

Results:

The event director and guest speaker arrived and welcomed the group without any delay in start time. The attendees raved about the art gallery venue and many assumed it was the plan all along.
